Citylife has teamed up with Sharemark to support the promotion and future secondary market trading of the East London Bond.

Investors in the East London Bond will receive their money back from Citylife after five years. But for any investors who need to sell their bonds early, Sharemark provides a way to help them find a buyer. Bondholders will be able to list any bonds they wish to sell on Sharemark and the price they are willing to accept. Potential buyers can also indicate the value of bonds they wish to purchase and the price they are willing to pay. Where these prices meet, a deal can be struck.

Since Citylife’s Bonds are issued to raise money for charity, Sharemark has kindly agreed to waive its standard trading fees. Sophie Douglas, manager of Sharemark, explains: “Sharemark is delighted to support this innovative initiative which combines principles of charitable donation with those of investment. By offering our flexible trading services for the East London Bond,  we can make it even easier for people to invest their money in this Bond to help communities in need.”
