The Bond issuer

Citylife is a national charitable organisation supporting causes that give people a better future.

It started in 1999 with its first Bond to finance employment initiatives in Sheffield. Since then Citylife has issued Charitable Bonds on behalf of a range of charities, providing a unique and innovative way to raise new funds for social benefit.

Through these Bonds, Citylife has directed funding to activities that have helped thousands into work, training or out of debt. Its first fixed-term Bonds have already matured with over £4.7 million successfully returned to investors or rolled into subsequent Bonds.

Citylife is a society registered with the Financial Services Authority (Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1965 No. 28861R), is recognised by HM Revenue and Customs as a charity (No. XR29468) and governed by independent trustees. As such Citylife is permitted to offer and issue certain bonds to the public in the United Kingdom based on the exemption under the Financial Services and Markets Act (section 85(5) and Schedule 11A).
